Aegis II ™

Aegis II® was designed and engineered to give architects and developers an attractive vertical picket ornamental steel fence of the highest quality at an affordable price. These dual features of quality and affordability were achieved through state-of-the-art metal processing and powder coating technology. Ameristar's in-house tube mill facilitates production of the patented "Forerunner™ rails", as well as the steel pickets and posts for this industrial ornamental fence. The high-speed automated production of these G-90 galvanized fence components results in lower manufacturing costs and prompt delivery. The unique PermaCoat® (double layer) electrostatic powder coating process adds a superior maintenance-free finish in a range of colors. When compared to conventional systems framed to standard channels, Aegis II® with the patented Forerunner™ Double-walled "U" Channel Rail offers considerably greater strength due to its specially formed architectural shape.

- Available in four attractive styles (including an outwardly curved pointed picket that discourages climbing)
- Available in four standard colors (black, white, bronze, and desert sand).
- Allows customization by adding extra rails, finials, rings, or scrolls to the panels or decorative ball caps to the posts.

Aegis Plus ™

Aegis Plus® has the strength of most industrial steel fences combined with a surface finish that makes it essentially maintenance-free. All Aegis Plus® panels, including those with ornamental rings, are free of welds and also free of unsightly external fasteners. Aegis Plus® is available in four colors: black, white, bronze, and desert sand.

Aegis® fences employ the ForeRunner™ rail, a specially formed high strength double-walled shape that provides far greater load-bearing capacity when compared with fence systems using normal channel. The surface of Aegis® components is protected by PermaCoat®, the thermally bonded double layer of zinc-rich epoxy and ‘No-Mar’ polyester that far exceeds other coatings in all measurable performance characteristics (adhesion, corrosion resistance, UV resistance and abrasion resistance). The cutting edge in powder coating technology now costs no more than paint or PVC.

PermaCoat™

The color chain link fabric has a durable poly (vinyl) chloride either extruded, extruded and adhered, or fused and bonded over a core of smooth, high quality zinc or aluminum coated wire. After coating, the wire is woven into the finished fabric conforming to ATSM F668.

Color is now being demanded in ever increasing proportions over galvanized chain link fencing. Facility owners and managers wishing to retain the well known endurance of chain link systems while providing a perimeter that blends attractively with its surroundings are finding color systems to be the answer. Ameristar’s PermaCoat® supplies the best answer for several reasons.

PermaCoat® is the only framework product with the double protection of zinc-rich epoxy (to resist corrosion) and TGIC polyester (to resist UV radiation). PermaCoat® fittings are the only fittings with stainless steel fasteners supplied as standard. Ameristar’s state-of-the-art factory houses the complete process from start to finish, employing rigid quality inspections as part of every operation.

The modern high-speed tube mill and the extensive pre-treatingand coating line were designed to ensure an environmentally friendly workplace and product.
