Prodex High R Insulation Facts

Sizes:

• A radiant barrier insulation.
• Reflects 97% of radiant heat.
• Maximum R Value of 14.5 (varies with application).
• Class A/Class 1 fire rated.
• Waterproof/Non-absorbent.
• 19 DB sound proofing.
• Will not mildew or allow fungus growth.
• Resistant to mice, birds and insects.
• Easily seams at joints with common 2 inch metal tape.
• Can be nailed, stapled, glued or sewn.
• Prodex is safe to use as there are no fibers to breath or to cause skin irritation.

• 1/4" thickness x 8' width x 100' length.
• 1/4" thickness x 48" width x 125' length.
• 1/4" thickness x 48" width x 50' length.
• 1/4" thickness x 22 1/2" width x 50' length.
• 1/4" thickness x 14 1/2" width x 50' length.

Colors:

• Aluminum standard both sides.

Prodex is an incredible effective multilayer reflective insulation product that reflects 97% of radiant heat, the primary source of heat flow. Mass building insulation products are inferior in that they absorb and hold radiant heat.

Reflective insulation is the most effective when incorporated with at least a 3/4" airspace between the insulation and any adjacent material. The R value of the system will vary dependent on the airspace size and the direction of the heat flow, and the conductive and convective properties of surrounding materials.
